Governor Bob McDonnell

Tonight is an exciting night for Virginia--and an exciting night for Regent University School of Law. Congratulations to Bob McDonnell, Virginia Governor-elect and 1989 alumnus of Regent University School of Law!

Regent University is about training leaders who will serve others with excellence and integrity. Bob McDonnell is just such a leader. In his time in the House of Delegates and as Attorney General, Bob championed the values of family, life, and liberty. He stood firm on principle while reaching out to those who disagreed with him. In this campaign, he has shown by both words and action what it means to be a Christian leader. In the face of a barrage of often unfair criticism, Bob showed grace, perseverance, and humility. He displayed the character of Christ.

I am deeply proud of Bob and eager to see how he positively impacts the lives of Virginians and millions of other Americans as he assumes a leadership role on the national stage.
